Hope Sandoval - Courting Blues - Live 2009,London,pt.1(of 13),(unreleased Bert Jansch cover)

Recorded Nov. 11, 2009, Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. The recording quality of this concert's good, & Hope's voice is in top form (better than in some other shows from the '09 tour where her voice some times sounds strained ), so I've uploaded all 13 songs to YT, numbered in the same order as on the audio file. "Courting Blues" is a cover of a Bert Jansch song from his self-titled 1965 album. Jansch played guitar on two songs on Hope's 2001 album "Bavarian Fruit Bread" (on "Charlotte" & "Butterfly Mornings"). Hope & Bert also collaborated on writing & performing the song "All This Remains" - an effort demonstrating well the talents of both artists. Is there another Hope song that shows Hope's triple talents of singing, lyrics, & melody writing better than "All This Remains"? I don't know of one! The song appears on Bert's 2003 album, "Edge of a Dream", with Hope singing. I've uploaded it to YT. Sadly, Bert Jansch died of lung cancer Oct. 5, 2011, at age 67. The first two photos of the slide show were taken at this '09 London show. The other pics were taken elsewhere.
