BattleTech is a tabletop wargame focused on armoured combat and traces its origins back to the mid 1980's. The last major update to the game was published in the rulebook Total Warfare (2007) and is approaching 20 years old. Things changed recently, with an announcement that an updated version of TW would be published in Autumn 2026. As part of this, a series of community-facing playtest packs are being released to gather player feedback on some of the upcoming rules changes. Please join me in this video for an overview of the changes from the Phase 1 and Phase 2 packs, where I give an overview of what rules are changing, and in what way.
