His career spans over four decades, during which he has also been a member of other iconic bands like The Guess Who and April Wine. Coney Hatch Legacy: Carl joined Coney Hatch in 1982. The band had been on the Toronto music scene for a couple of years, within two months of Carl joining, Coney Hatch was signed to a record deal. Their debut album went gold produced by Kim Mitchell with Carl on lead vocal for seven of ten tracks. The band became a staple of the hard rock scene, releasing classic albums like Outta Hand and Friction. Fans still fondly remember their hits like "Hey Operator" and "Fantasy," often citing them as a defining soundtrack of the 80s rock era. Beyond his band work, Carl has a prolific solo career, recently releasing albums like Unbroken and Peaced Together. He also performs in Northern Strum, a duo with Sean Kelly, focusing on acoustic renditions of rock classics. Carl Dixon's Wild North Rock band is a five piece band of notable musicians playing great Canadian rock hits.
