Claire Castro says Marcos Jr still not inclined to rejoin ICC

MANILA -- Palace spokesperson Claire Castro said on Sunday the Philippines still has no plans to rejoin the International Criminal Court (ICC), based on her last conversation with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. "Hindi pa rin natitinag ang kaniyang posisyon. Hindi pa po tayo magre-rejoin sa ICC. Sa ngayon po, same position hindi pa rin tayo magre-rejoin," Castro said in DZMM TeleRadyo's Story Outlook. This was after the ICC finished its confirmation of charges hearing on ex-president Rodrigo Duterte's crimes against humanity. Castro, however, did not say if this decision of Marcos Jr was before or after the recent developments in Duterte's case. In the fourth and final day of the confirmation of charges hearing, the ICC judges announced that it will release a ruling within 60 days.
