But when harvest time comes, complacency can quietly settle in. We stop watching. We stop discerning. We assume growth will take care of itself. Harvest requires a different kind of activeness. It asks us to be alert rather than busy. In harvest season we are called to watch the growth of what we have sown. We look for pests that threaten the fruit of our lives. We pay attention to the weather, to the conditions, and to timing. This season is delicate. Fruit can be lost through neglect just as easily as through disobedience. Opportunity often arrives quietly. If we are asleep we miss it. This song was written because harvest time is when opportunity knocks. Every person we meet, every word we hear, every small event that happens daily may be an invitation from God. Even failure can sometimes be the harvest if it reveals truth, refines character, or redirects our steps. Watching does not mean fear. It means awareness. It means living present and attentive to what God is doing now. The third song, The Only Crown, leads into deep worship. It brings everything back to its rightful center. Jesus Christ is the King of Kings. He is the only true crown. This song is a declaration that our lives are not built on handouts or shortcuts. They are built on obedience and surrender. We are not called to live for ourselves but for Him. This song asks the hard questions. Are we dependent on others to sustain us, or are we walking in what Christ commands. Are we living to please people or to please the Lord. When Christ is our crown, His direction matters above all else. His approval becomes our desire. His presence becomes our reward. These three songs together tell one story. Waiting with trust. Watching with discernment. Worshiping with surrender. This is the journey I am learning to walk.
