This sweet dish is made with coconut, jaggery, and a soft wheat-rava dough, perfect for any festive occasion. Ingredients: • 1 cup Suji (Rava) • 1 cup Wheat flour • Coconut oil (for dough & cooking) • 2 cups Fresh Coconut (grated) • 1 cup Jaggery (crushed) • 4 tbsp Hot Water Instructions: 1️⃣ Prepare the Dough: Take 1 cup of rava and 1 cup of strained wheat flour. Add coconut oil and knead it into a soft dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes. 2️⃣ Make the Filling: Grind 2 cups of coconut coarsely. Heat a pan on low flame, add coconut, fry for 3 minutes to remove moisture, then mix in crushed jaggery and 4 tbsp of hot water. Cook for 5 minutes until smooth. Let it cool. 3️⃣ Shape the Obbattu: Divide both the dough and filling into equal-sized balls. Flatten the dough slightly, place the filling inside, and seal it. 4️⃣ Roll and Cook: Use an oil-brushed butter paper to press the dough gently into a round shape. Transfer to a heated iron tawa on low flame. Cook gently until light brown spots appear on both sides. 5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy: Obbattu is ready!
