On 23rd January, Craig and I swapped bats and cameras for coats and counters as we umpired the match between Overton Originals and Basingstoke Capitals. It turned into a pretty one-sided game, with Overton finishing on 76/5 after losing the toss and batting first, before Basingstoke chased it down in just 6.5 overs without losing a wicket. But the real reason for this video isn’t the result… It’s the decisions. There was one particularly close run-out that, on replay, I think was out… but in the moment it was almost impossible to be certain.
