'Alison' on her relationship with undercover police officer Mark Jenner

'Alison' talks to Newsnight in 2014 about how she was deceived into a five year relationship by a man she knew as 'Mark Cassidy'. He was actually undercover police officer Mark Jenner of the Special Demonstration Squad, the Metropolitan Police Special Branch's poltical secret police unit. Formed in 1968, the SDS depolyed around ten officers at a time for around four years each into a variety of groups - anti-racist campaigns, trade unions, environmentalists, socialists, anarchists, peace campaigns, animal rights and other groups were infiltrated and undermined. Alison was part of a group of women deceived this way who took legal action against the Met and received compensation and an apology.
