Universal Atomic 4 Water Pump Seal Removal
This video demonstrates a method for removing the two seals within the water pump on a Universal Atomic 4 Engine without the need for specialized tools (there are specialized tools for this). A couple of additional pointers I can add for reinstalling the new seals... 1. Press them in by hand until they are even and flush with top surface. 2. Use the flat side (not the open side) of a deep socket that fits closely to the size of the opening. If you use the "open" side of the socket you risk damaging the expensive seals. 3. Tap gently with putting them in and make sure they stay straight. This is the opposite of removing them where you want to strike them pretty hard.
