The new 2025 KTM 390 Enduro R might just be the most misunderstood dual sport motorcycle of all time...but there's a good reason for that. The 390 ENDURO R is not actually an enduro motorcycle. Find the world's most carefully curated selection of motorcycle camping gear, riding gear, and adventure bike luggage at @MotoCampNerd https://motocampnerd.com/?ref=dork (affiliate link) I'm well on my way to completing my testing before my KTM 390 Enduro R review and while reading the comments on previous videos and posts about the 390 Enduro I've run across a few pretty common misconceptions. The first misconception is right in the name of the KTM 390 Enduro R 2025 model. This bike is a dual sport. It is not an enduro motorcycle. It's also not an upgrade from other ktm enduro models like the 350 and 500 EXC-F. Everyone keeps screaming about the 390 Enduro exhaust being too low and vulnerable but I just don't see it. Trust me, most of us aren't doing water crossings that deep with any regularity. The most common complaint I've seen about the KTM enduro is that it's too heavy and underpowered. Both are true when compared to other KTM enduro bikes but that's not what the 390 is. This is a dual sport bike in the truest sense of the word.
