Sahil called me up, suggesting we head to a beautiful destination—Shukroo. We set off from home, and as soon as we reached Rajpora, the rain began. By the time we hit Shadimarg, Sahil told me there was a raincoat on the scooter, so I put it on. Sahil kept driving, and we reached Kellar. Locals there gave us directions to Shukroo, but others warned us the path ahead was difficult with snow. Still, we pressed on and reached a spot where we had to continue on foot. We grabbed some snacks—peanuts and lentils—from a shop before hiking up toward Shukroo. Once there, we sat and enjoyed the food amid heavy snowfall. The fog thickened, reducing visibility drastically. As we left, we encountered a man living alone in the forest—Khan Sahib—who shared his struggles and shed tears over being scammed out of money for a promised home. We consoled him, promising to help if we return. Just then, the Maghrib azan rang out, and we prayed there. After about 30-40 minutes, we reached the scooter, packed up, and got home by 9 PM.
