For Episode 7 of The Glasgow Clubbing Podcast we welcomed someone who has played such an influential part in celebrating urban music in Scotland - DJ & promoter Paul Njie. Paul has had a 40+ year career in the music industry in Scotland. Paul's career began cutting his teeth as a DJ at many clubs in Glasgow including the Mayfair, The Venue (now the Garage 2), the Warehouse, Marty Gras, Tin Pan Alley, The Volcano and so many more. Amongst, other work, Paul can be credited with hosting Scotland's first urban music radio show on Beat 106 in 2003 interviewing some of the biggest urban music artists at the time. More recently, Paul has hosted his hugely successful Soul on Sunday parties at BAad in the Barra's. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed recording it.
