This is a fun peek at Third World recording "Same Old Song" in 1989 at Soundtrack Studios in NYC. There are a lot of guests here: By the mixing board: Geoffrey Chung in the middle, Carl Beatty, Stone McLennon, Lance Clarke and George Golding. Cat Coore was missing that day...for reasons I don't recall. But the late greats, Ibo Cooper and Bunny Rugs are here and at their best, along with band mates Richard Daley and Willie Stewart. Also in the studio, next to Bunny Rugs, is producer Lionel Job. Entering the studio singing and dancing are members of Kool and the Gang—Clifford Adams, Lavell Evans, Robert Bell. Skip Martin, Penwah Thomas and Buzz Willis The ladies, I believe are session singers and family, part of the Gang...unfortunately I cannot fill in their names, although I love their contribution. Have to hail up Director/Cameraman Stafford Ashani, also resting in peace, and thank him in absentia for the beautiful job he did here. Sometimes it's a heavy thing to be the keeper of the flame...
