⛵ Marisca — the adventure that began a journey of discoveries

In this video, I share the story of the Marisca, the boat that launched a true research adventure along the coast of Santa Catarina. On one of my first trips out to sea, I noticed rock inscriptions at Barra da Lagoa — a discovery that sparked questions and led me on a search combining diving, fishing, study, and exploration. In 1988, during the winter solstice, I experienced a turning point: the alignment of the boat, the Sun, and Pedra do Frade revealed a possible astronomical observatory. Soon after, the Moon rising through Pedra Virada expanded this journey of discovery even further. The Marisca funded this adventure — through diving, catching grouper and lobster, and long days at sea. Even after a challenging shipwreck, the research continued, transforming those experiences into records and videos that I share to this day.
