I was planning to cycle along the Danube, following the EV6 in Romania, but after fearing for my life on the road and because the trail didn't go that close to the Danube, I decided to cross once more to Bulgaria and continue my bike tour there and then to Serbia. I will have to return to Romania, but until then I hope to enjoy the trail a bit more and and escape the crazy Romanian traffic. Cycling eurovelo 6 is not as exciting as I thought, but the iron gates of the Danube were a real highlight for me. This part was gorgeous, especially now, painted in autumn colours! With every passing day I am getting closer and closer to the end of this bikepacking odyssey across Europe.
