Saucepan Bowl Step 1 - Measure Firstly using your bowl and scales, measure out around 80 grams of Container Wax for your clamshell. We're using container wax as they will be embedded into a candle later. Step 2 - Melt Next up, fill your pan halfway with boiling water, melting your wax on a medium to low heat and stirring until melted. Once your wax has melted, you can take it off the heat to cool. If you prefer to melt your max in the microwave, you can do so by placing your wax in a container on a medium heat for 5 minutes stopping at 30-second intervals to stir. If your wax is not completely melted, stir and put it back in the microwave until melted. Step 3 - Colour Add your chosen colour liquid or chip dye to your wax and stir. We have opted for yellow chip dye to create a festive golden star! You can add your dye at any temperature, just remember to stir thoroughly. Step 4 - Pour Allow your wax to cool to between 55 to 60 degrees Celcius. Transfer your wax into a pouring jug and pour your wax into your clamshells. Leave them to set. Step 5 - Prepare While your melts are setting, prepare you candle glass. Peel off your Wick Stick Um and place on the end of your wick. Securely place your wick in the centre of your glass. Step 6 - Measure Using your bowl and scales, measure out around 220 grams of Container Wax for your candle. Step 7 - Melt Again, fill your pan halfway with boiling water, melting your wax on a medium to low heat and stirring until melted. Once your wax has melted, you can take it off the heat to cool. Step 8 - Fragrance Wait until your wax has cooled to 65 degrees Celcius and add your chosen fragrance oil, stirring thoroughly Step 9 - Pour Transfer your wax into a pouring jug and pour your wax into your candle glass. Leave about 1 inch of space from the top saving some of your melted wax for later to embed your stars. Add your wick centring tool and leave your candle to set for around 2 hours. Step 10 - Re-melt Re-melt your leftover wax and transfer to your pouring jug. Step 11 - Embed Pop your stars out of their mould and place them on the top of your candle. Allow your wax to cool to 50 degrees Celcius then pour your re-melted wax around your stars to create a second layer. Don't allow your wax to cover your stars! Done! That's it! Leave your candle to set overnight before lighting! We’d love to see your work!
