Progress in one direction, and not in the other. sigh Typical. But one of these days.... I must say, though, something that I did not mention in the video--did not say in the heat of the moment--there is far more to "weight loss" as a measure of fitness than the actual literal WEIGHT. Scales like the #WiiFit balance board or the non-body-fat version of the FitBit scale work well enough to give you a TINY glimpse into your fitness levels (and work far better for the purpose of playing games) but the only thing they are capable of measuring is your height and weight... which does not take into account: age (as anyone who's noticed that the "fitness age" never goes below 20 should know, the game is not designed to accurately measure a child's fitness levels), muscle mass (which I could theoretically be building as I actually started putting a little more effort into resistance exercises like from Ring Fit or some of the Zombies Run Homefront exercises), bone density (which I am looking into ways to take care of for other medical reasons), or body fat (which of course is the part that I need to work on reducing--the fact that I'm now wearing one size smaller of my work pants and two sizes smaller in casual jeans than how I started the year suggest that there has been SOME success in that direction no matter what the scale says). All of these could contribute to my overall health and suggest that I'm getting fitter in a way that is commonly referred to as "losing weight" even when I'm literally gaining weight, and BMI will never be able to tell me any of that... my biggest concern about the numbers Wii Fit gives me, and the only reason I continue to take those numbers into account, is the fact that at my theoretical fittest level every doctor I've had agrees that I should still be about 60 pounds lighter than what I am (at least if I want to focus on lean muscle over body-building)....
