Take a look at this photo and what do you see? Andrew Cyr of Fairbanks, Alaska took this photo when he visited the island of Hawai'i march 8th - there's lava and flames. But look closely. Andrew didn't see it at first, in fact he didn't send us the photo, his friend Francis Nagata of Waipahu did. Francis had recommended that Andrew go to the volcano, and Andrew sent him this one photo two days later. Francis told us, "it wasn't until a couple days later that when I looked at it closer and enlarged it that I noticed what looked like to be a woman in the lava in the flames. Andrew said "I showed it to my girlfriend who was with me at the time and her jaw dropped, she was definitely really excited to see it." He also said he "was unfamiliar with the just how important this was to the Hawaiian culture and that it's definitely becoming apparent to me very quickly." That's for sure. It's racking up hundreds of shares on our KHON2 News Facebook page.
