One of the most beautiful places on planet earth has GOT to be the Snæfellsnes Peninsula of Iceland! In this video we travelled to Iceland and fell in love with this other-worldly area of the country. Knows as "Iceland in Miniature", the wintertime Snæfellsnes Peninsula is home to beautiful mountains, frozen lakes, snow covered lava fields, windy beaches, and some of the greatest scenery you'll ever see in life. On our visit to this area, we stayed at the Miðhraun Lava Resort (https://lavaresort.is) - a picturesque resort built in the middle of a lava field! This family owned getaway is the perfect place from which to relax and enjoy the peninsula. From their incredible views, to the geothermal bath, to individual cottages, to one of the best meals we had on the entire trip, this resort will have you loving every minute of your stay. From there, we drove over to see the little black church at Búðir, and then to see the most photographed mountain of the country: Kirkjufell and its accompanying waterfall, the Kirkjufellsfoss.
