The Fox Lake winter campaign reaches its final stage and the hunt for another 30lb carp continues from peg 6. Over the last few weeks this swim has been incredibly consistent, producing 23 carp so far including two 30lb mirror carp. With those numbers, the statistics suggest there’s roughly a 1 in 3 chance that one of the carp I catch could be another thirty — and with only a few sessions left, the odds are getting interesting. In this episode I return once again to the same productive area along the farm margin, using the same proven carp fishing tactics, bait approach, and rigs that have produced fish throughout the campaign. But as every angler knows, carp fishing is never guaranteed, and every session brings that mix of confidence and uncertainty. The main target now is one particular fish — the big 31lb common carp that still hasn’t made an appearance. Will the campaign finish with another 30lb carp, or will Fox Lake keep its secrets for another season?
