Our final ambient exploration this Sunday takes us to the wintery landscapes of Croatian artist Himber, and the special Realm and Ritual cassette compilation of their four eps. This full compilation submerges the listener into a series of 21 cryptically un-titled pieces, names obscured like the whited-out landscapes of a snowdrift muted world, with form emerging from blizzards of gentle falling crystal fractals. Melodies clearly defined in the droning contours, with brief flourishes of icy harshness swirling from the haunting ambient gloaming.
