County Administrator Barry Burton said he and County Commission chairperson Kathleen Peters met with Manfred to “talk through the situation.” He said Manfred requested the meeting and it was arranged through Peters’ office. They met at the Lealman Exchange Community Center and no one from the Rays was present. The County Commission will meet Dec. 17 to consider whether to approve taking out bonds to finance $312.5 million for a portion of the stadium costs.
