Viking Pump has two solutions that were designed and created specifically to handle the challenges of TEG Dehydration. Triethylene glycol is used as a liquid desiccant to dehydrate natural gas and captured carbon dioxide streams in a contact tower. This process prevents the freezing of the gas in a pipeline which prevents corrosion and clogs. TEG dehydration has many complex challenges. The TEG is extremely hot, thin, non-lubricating, and is handled at extremely high pressure. TEG is often accompanied by abrasive particles, which can cause wear. Viking Pump's GB-410 Series™ is made of ductile iron and contains hardened steel internal components. The gears and bushing blocks have a special DLC coating for enhanced wear resistance. These pumps are rated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, 1500 PSI, and have capacities up to 66 gallons per minute. The GB-414 Series™ is also made of ductile iron and utilizes hardened steel internals. The gears and bushing blocks are DLC coated for enhanced wear resistance. They are also rated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and 1500 PSI. They have capacities up to 130 gallons per minute.
