Memorial Park. This place easily became one of my favorite places to experience.

Prospect Lake at Memorial Park is always full of stunning views, wildlife, friendly community, urban recreation & nature in many forms. With occasional events as well, it truly is the perfect balanced mix of everything. If there’s a “best of all worlds” reality, this place gets pretty close to it! Surrounded by the Rockies, this park offers stunning views with particularly beautiful sunrises & sunsets. The lake draws a ton of wildlife that always seem content & at ease. Mornings at Prospect Lake are the essence of peace & a wonderful way to start a day, any time of the year. At night, the lights around the lake reflect in the water, turning into a kind of ambience. A perfect daily dose of Nature’s beauty right in the middle of the city of Colorado Springs! The walking path around Prospect Lake offers several exercise stations, giving the local community an easy & accessible way to stay active while getting outside, without the cost of a gym membership. It’s also nice to workout with such incredible views of the outdoors! The park is kept exceptionally clean the majority of the time and it is consistently kept up & added to. A nice place to relax, slow down, appreciate nature and breathe nice fresh, crisp mountain air. Also a nice place to get yourself moving, maybe play a basketball or volleyball game, get out on the water, fish, or have a picnic. A long list of options in just one part of this massive park. The walking path around the park’s lake side, is just over a mile long. I think this place is such a Gem for a city to have public access to. #soundsofnature #naturesounds #naturesound #naturevideo
