Trying to develop a facility for hybrid picking: recognizing that after play finger style 100%, the ability to play with the pick and fingers doesn’t feel as natural. In the first place, the mere act of holding a pick creates more tension than freely using fingers. It has gotten better, but I need to do a better job of articulating with the pick and to have better pick control. Therefore, I need to emphasize the notes with the pick especially those played in the bass, make sure that they are loud and cleanly articulated.
