Return of the Badger - Tuesday 30th September 2025 Following the advent of the Class 89 coming to Stafford on Monday evening and the early hours of Tuesday morning as it transpired, a little investigation on realtimetrains and from Lee, one of the team from the AC Loco Group, knowing that the 89 was due back tonight (Tuesday evening) It was initially my plan to come back and see this incredible sight. As the day wore on, I had been feeling like I may have left it, but in the end, I popped back to see the sequel, there was always a possibility that a different electric loco may have ran with the 89, or so I told myself. Further more, thank you to fellow Rail enthusiast Mark @sparkynl1271 for drawing my attention to this, having done some research, this turns out to be an event of the loco running for the second time in twenty five years, having been withdrawn from active workings by GNER in October of the Year 2000. Tonight, a different clutch of enthusiasts, young and old, came out to see this sight. A big thank you to the good folks of Stafford Station, notably Mike, Mandy, and Phil, for their permission to be here to catch the Badger's arrival. Please be aware that this is down to their discretion and shouldn't just be assumed consent. I have created a playlist for all AC Loco Group footage, including the appearance of their leccies appearing at The Greatest Gathering in early August, as well as the Badger clips from Monday and now Tuesday night: • AC Loco Group including the Class 89 Note - It had been suggested to me in the numerous messages from the first group of clips that I should have collated the content. This is something which I had been looking into prior to this event, and this is actually my first attempt to move into a larger (no pun intended) world :-) I had posted a clip of the 89 arriving into the station with the 90, but have deleted it having uploaded this in its entirety. This video features in my compilation playlist: • Electric traction compilation videos
