A complete walkthrough of the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Irwindale California. The Renaissance Pleasure Faire of Southern California is an annual event that takes place at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area in Irwindale, California. It's one of the oldest and largest Renaissance fairs in the country, and has been running since 1963. The faire is a recreation of a 1580s English marketplace, complete with costumed characters, food and drink vendors, artisans selling their wares, and shows and performances. There are jousting tournaments, acrobatics, music, and comedy acts. You can also try your hand at games and crafts, or just wander around and soak up the atmosphere. The faire is generally open from the first weekend of April through the weekend before Memorial Day. This year, the dates are April 6 to May 19. If you're looking for a fun and unique way to spend a day, the Renaissance Pleasure Faire of Southern California is a great option.
