I was born in London, sent to the Philippines at three months old, and raised by my grandmother. Before She Goes is a personal vlog series about family separation, identity, and the woman who kept me alive. This is the beginning of Before She Goes, a documentary-style vlog series where I tell my story through memory and reflection. I grew up away from my parents, never really knowing my father and struggling with a mother who couldn’t care for me. My grandmother became my home, my safety, and my reason for hope. Now, as she turns 90, I’m returning to the place that raised me, filming and preserving our story before it’s too late. This series is about growing up between countries, being different in your own family, and finding love in unexpected places.
