"OUTBY16" (Demon) by wokecat & OliXor | Geometry Dash 2.11

ryli06 and OliXor are two creators I've seen numerous works by, but for various reasons such as being too hard or me seeing them late, I haven't uploaded much of them. From what I've seen, though, I'd say they're both keeping an eye on, though; they're relatively new creators that make some interesting stuff, especially in effects. That can be seen in "OUTBY16" as well, which is a collaboration between the two. OliXor started this and gave it to ryli06 to finish later on, so each half is done by either, respectively, for the most part. The effects are seen in both the background and foreground, and are synchronized well to the song. Each one isn't particularly unique on its own; they have been done in other levels before in a similar fashion. However, they are incorporated well here to make for an interesting experience nonetheless. Personally I really like the small effects that are used in transition from part to part, such as at 0:35 and 0:55. These may be small and boring comparatively, but they are important because they make for neat transitions from part to part, thus making the level so much more cohesive. Aside from the effects, the colors are worth mentioning as well. I've mentioned before that I like to see levels that feature very bright parts, and that's the case in some here, for example from 0:24 to 0:56. Aside from being bright thanks to a lot of white, they also mix in yellow, which is another rare color in Geometry Dash that is used well here. In other objects, such as block designs and decorations, it's a bit of a mixed bag from part to part. While this level is clearly focused on other aspects than that, it's still something that could've been more consistent across the board. Difficulty-wise, this will probably be around a Hard Demon. There are a lot of fast sections, such as the wave parts but also other game modes with orbs in quick succession. The perceived difficulty and whether you'll like to play this or not will probably be affected by how you feel about bright and flashy levels, which is something to consider. All in all, this is a cool effect collaboration by ryli06 and OliXor, and I'm excited to see what they create in the future.
