As temperatures rise, animals gather around waterholes, dust hangs in the air, and movement slows — but Addo never truly feels quiet. We encounter large herds of elephants cooling off at pans and dams, zebras making use of the early morning hours, buffalo keeping their distance, and warthogs rushing in for a last drink before the heat becomes unbearable. The dry conditions shape every moment — from animal behavior to how we plan our game drives. Back in camp, the afternoon is calm. Curious vervet monkeys move through the campsite, reminding us that wildlife encounters don’t stop when the engine is turned off. Sometimes safari isn’t about chasing sightings — it’s about slowing down, observing, and letting the bush set the pace.
