Aye-Ayes are fascinating lemurs with some extremely odd adaptations. They can use echolocation to find their prey, and their hands are completely unique in the animal kingdom. Unfortunately, fady (Malagasy taboos) have led to them being widely vilified by the local people, resulting in many aye-ayes being killed. Also, apologies for the quality of images used - there are not exactly many photos available of such a nocturnal and secretive primate. All pictures attributed to Animal Analytics were taken by me personally. A full description of all others can be found in the following document, along with notable scientific papers I used when researching this topic.
