Maine State Police are investigating a triple fatal shooting incident that happened in Sabattus Wednesday afternoon. Three people have been confirmed dead, including the shooter and his mother, and two were sent to the hospital and are expected to recover. Police arrived at the 800 block of Middle Road on Route 9 in Sabattus shortly before 4:15 p.m. Wednesday after gunshots were reported, according to a release from the Maine Department of Public Safety. The road remained closed for several hours into the evening. Following an investigation, police said 29-year-old James Davis III of Sabattus was a passenger in a vehicle driven by his mother, 47-year-old Christine Smith of Sabattus. While traveling on King Road, Davis reportedly shot his mother, who died at the scene, the release stated. #News #Crime #shooting
