Governments and public institutions face significant limitations, including a lack of capacity to anticipate risks, build consensus around a long-term vision, respond to people’s needs, and deliver equitable development outcomes. Some government institutions remain reactive, rigid, and fragmented – increasingly ill-adapted to the complexity of today’s world. In an era defined by disruption and uncertainty, all governments will need to build dynamic governance capabilities to protect past gains and create conditions for more inclusive and resilient growth. The webinar fostered a regional knowledge exchange on how countries are strengthening anticipatory, adaptive, and agile public-sector capabilities, highlighting progress, practical experiences, and shared challenges. To ensure the discussions are evidence-based and grounded in experience-informed perspectives, the webinar features short interventions from both researchers and in-country practitioners, with dedicated time for participants to share their reflections, questions, and feedback.
