Carwynnen Quoit, also known as Giant's Quoit, is a Neolithic Quoit or Dolmen in the small hamlet of Carwynnen near Camborne in Cornwall. Quoit's are most famous for being in Penwith which makes it very rare to have a quoit, especially like this one, this far up. The quoit is also known as Pendarves Quoit as the Pendarves Family's estate (which is now destroyed) was near here. The quoit collapsed in 1966 and lay collapsed in a private field until it was re-erected in 2014 and the field, called Pip's Field which was named after Pip Richards who, if it wasn't for her, the quoit would still be a pile of stones, was open to the public. The date of the quoit is unknown but it could be approximately 5,000 years old and, like all quoits or dolmens, was used as a tomb. Music by Derek & Brandon Fietcher
