Back to Black Mountain | The Town That Changed Us

Last week we traveled back to Black Mountain, North Carolina—a place that means the world to us. On the way, Maxine pulled the trailer for the first time ever, right through fog, steep grades, and a long 8–12% descent. She handled it like a champ. When we arrived, we met up with our Silverado’s / Valley Strong Disaster Relief family—the volunteers we worked with after Hurricane Helene. Long days turned into friendships, and those friendships turned into family. We shared dinner, watched the Holly Jolly Christmas Parade, and visited the KOA that was wiped out by the storm and has now been fully rebuilt. This one is meaningful to us.
