Welcome to our tour of Barcelona Gothic Quarter. We walk the streets of the oldest part of the city. It is often said that Barcelona's history has began where the Gothic Quarter is. When Romans have arrived in shores of Spain they have claimed the land as their own and built their first settlement where Gothic Quarter is today. When you walk the streets of this neighbourhood you will find old Roman fortifications and buildings as well as more modern building which add to the busy and famous area. In the middle of the quarter you will find Barcelona Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, named after Barcelona's patron Saint Eulalia. It is one of the oldest constructions in Barcelona and is currently a seat of the archbishop of Barcelona. It is very popular amongst tourist due to it Gothic architecture. It was a lovely walk in the past.
