Rachel Drake and Tyler Green Training for the 2024 Western States 100. This is Tyler Green’s fifth consecutive start at the Western States 100. He’s finished 14th, 2nd, 4th, & 2nd in the last four runnings. Conversely, 2024 will be Rachel’s first appearance at Western States and her 100 mile debut. They both enter among the main contenders in the field, all while balancing life as a married couple and parents. Rachel's Workout: 1 mile warmup 8 mins at 15% grade on the treadmill x 2 with 2 min flat jog in between Short rest / jog before track workout 6 x 1 mile repeats at 5:35 / mile pace with 90 second rest 1 mile cooldown Tyler's Workout: 3 mile warmup 3 x 2 miles at marathon effort with 3 min rest 3 mile warmup Watch the video to see how they've both trained for the most important trail race in North America.
