She is as genuine and sweet as we see her in her videos.. She had contacted me to tell me she had created a Fantastical Creature and wanted to give me a shoutout.. This speaks volumes about who Molly is.. Huge respect for being so generous..with your time.. if you have not seen Molly.. I do not know where you have been..    / mollysartistry   After chatting a while.. we decided to do Great Big Shmears.. Molly and I exchanged colours I was given pink, blue and yellow .. one metallic and white base coat.. It took me 3 attempts to get a painting that I really loved. Sometimes it goes that way.. I find that sometimes I struggle with obtaining a pleasing composition.. or sometimes the colours do not work as well together as I thought. The first painting is lovely.. but it was on a smaller test canvas.. the gold had taken over .. and the yellow disappeared.. Then I tried again with the same colours but it was not what I wanted.. It took these two attempts for me to know that maybe it was my choice of colour tone or hue that was the problem. You always learn something when a painting just fails to please.. So.. I decided to use pastels for the pink . blue and pink.. and silver as the metallic Way out of my comfort zone.. but this is how we grow.. I know that Molly did do several test runs before she got what she was happy with.. I have seen a few clips of hers and the colours were delightful.. Jump over to Molly's channel to see her piece... it's wonderful...    • WOW! A Great Big Shmear (Swipe) - Collab w...   The paints were mixed as follows.. The white base paint was Artist Loft flow white.. 1 part paint.. 1.5 parts floetrol and maybe 1/4 part water to a nice fluid consistency.. Colours were mixed 1 part paint .. 3 parts floetrol.. and maybe 1/4 part water Amsterdam Formula.. 1 part Amsterdam Black Oxide to 4 parts Floetrol.. I did some Great Big Shmears and then added an open cup to the painting.. which brought it all together.. I really loved the softness of the open cup with pastels.. I will be using this combination again.. I then crated interest with some more shmears to add movement and interest..
