I've made plenty of trips down to Florida to ride my mountain bike but I always heard Alafia Mountain Bike Park was all XC and that kept me steering clear. Today I finally hit Alafia River State Park on the first stop of my Florida road trip! I met some local shredders who didn't mind showing me around some of the most challenging trails I never imagined were hidden away in the swamp! We hit the infamous Gwazi Berm to start the day before heading deeper into the park searching out the biggest features we could find. Snake pit and landing zone were good warm ups before heading to moonscape and gravitron to end the day on the trails! I can't wait to come back...with better fitness for those punchy climbs!
