Now I wish this would work Darn! I got a stir rod and was using it to stir this type of emulsion. An issue is Skippy Peanut Butter Ingredients. Here is the list (Soyabean oil, Corn maltodextrin, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (Palm Oil) besides the peanuts. The Isopropanol and Toluene plus the small amount of cyclohexane really did work well for this procedure because they are non-polar solvents even when mixed with alcohol. Alcohol is fairly soluble in Toluene and Cyclohaxane but when added with the Skippy Peanut butter things start to get weird really weird! The palm oils dissolve into the Alcohol with the help of the (Toluene and Cyclohexane). A suspension can be observed when the string and heating are turned on. Ethyl acetate is in between a Polar and Non-polar solvent and acts kind of like Acetone or Ethanol. It may for this be a BETTER choice. Its boiling point is around 77.1 degrees C and the Isopropanol Alcohol boiling point is 82 degrees C. Some more info on how Miscibility these two solvents are when mixed but.... they seem like Pretty compatible solvents for this case. Ethyl acetate is destructive to plastics so preferably glass bottles. When I have some time I will do this again with different solvents and peanut butter. Thanks for your time and watching this video.
