Hosted by David Bell and Professor Alan Barrell Special Guest: Henry O'Farrell Join us for an inspiring and thought-provoking webinar as we sit down with Henry O'Farrell Henry is the Founder of The Grad Job Club. He graduated from the University of York in 2021 with a degree in Marketing, having completed a year in industry working with BMW. He went on to build his career in Marketing, joining the Virgin Media O2 graduate scheme and becoming a Chartered Marketer. After completing the graduate scheme, Henry progressed into managerial and leadership roles within the technology and engineering function. He eventually became Business Manager to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), supporting the leadership of a team of more than 3,000 people. While he thrived in the corporate world, Henry repeatedly spoke with graduates who felt lost, spending months applying for roles, facing rejection, and relying on fragmented advice from platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. Despite the abundance of information, there was no clear strategy to guide them. Motivated by this gap, Henry left his role to found The Grad Job Club, a platform dedicated to transforming how employability is delivered across the UK. What began as a way to help individual graduates secure their dream roles has grown into a broader vision to modernise university careers provision.
