We'll do a walk through of the Futures Volatility Box setups in the ES, YM, NQ and RTY futures. Our first hour test gives us an idea of what kind of volatility to expect for the rest of the day. In today's case, we had the DOW futures give us signs that it was clearly the lesser of the volatile markets, among the four. On the other hand, the Nasdaq told us the opposite, requiring us to be on the Conservative Volatility Box in order to have our volatility models adapt to the current price action. We had 3 setups that triggered according to our Volatility Box Trade Plan rules in the NQ, RTY and YM futures. We were close to the edge of an hour, but had our breaches trigger in time, along with on our more conservative volatility models. P/L (first target only, second still active): RTY: 7.7 pts ($385) DOW: 82 pts ($410) NQ: 60 pts ($1,200) This is the benefit of having multiple volatility models, to adapt to any kind of volatility.
