This weekend I raced the Open D class at Cow Branch MX in Macclesfield, NC for the CCMX Spring Series. I was definitely nervous and a little jittery lining up, especially since I had been sick for the last two weeks and was pretty weak and out of shape going into the race. But I gave it everything I had and pushed as hard as I could. I ended up going 3rd in Moto 1 and 3rd in Moto 2 for 3rd overall, but there was a scoring mistake on the paperwork that showed me finishing 4th. A lapped rider was accidentally scored as 2nd place, which shifted the results. The issue has since been resolved and the correct overall finish is 3rd place. Even with the nerves and not feeling 100%, it was a great day of amateur motocross racing. I had a ton of fun riding Cow Branch MX, battling in the Open D class, and catching up with a lot of people in the motocross community. Next stop is JWTF, and I'm looking forward to getting back on the gate again next weekend.
