Feed Thai – Feed Those in Need – We Need Your Help. I am Kim Keswani. Originally from Hong Kong. I moved to Bangkok to be with my elderly Thai mother who is 83. Mum and I live very comfortably and for a long time we have been committed to local charities. With COVID-19 we need to help more and much more efficiently than can be done through the heavy maintenance cost type of charities. Just like in many other countries, the poor are severely affected by the consequences of COVID in local communities where it has displaced many people from their incomes and livelihoods. People are suffering beyond the capacity of their local resources. Without jobs whole families are going hungry, getting evicted and many now live in dire poverty on the streets. Like many other localised home-grown charitable endeavours, we too are compelled to help with our own funds and with every single penny of donations sent to me to do this. Just started, we at Feed Thai have already provided over 1,700 meals and water to those in most need, the hungry and the thirsty. We are a small group of well-intentioned volunteers determined to make a difference. We have acquired COVID safety training for ourselves in order that we may distribute wholesome foods and water in the safest possible manner to protect ourselves and to protect those we are reaching out to. We will continue our Feed Thai operations in our localised poorer suburbs in Bangkok and we will endeavour to continue in as far and as long as is necessary until normalcy has returned to the Thai economy and its grass roots are able to spring up again. However, as a handfuls of individuals, Feed Thai is not of unlimited resources and in this matter, I am personally reaching out to you and I ask that you please relay and reach out to your friends to also help me to help those in need. This ensures that every penny I receive for Feed Thai will be 100% converted into a wholesome lunch box for desperate and grateful people. Every HK$300 will provide 25 wholesome lunch boxes and water, HK$600 converts to 50 wholesome lunch boxes and water etc. Presently at Feed Thai we help owners of small local restaurants, who are struggling due to restrictions, to cook and package the meals. We then transport and distribute these meals. Help us to expand our operations, so that more people can be fed through Feed Thai.
