Building a Victorian Style Greenhouse from Scratch | DIY Woodwork Project

Building all the framework and doing everything myself was the only way to get the Victorian style greenhouse I had always wanted. This is not a detailed tutorial, but an overview of how I put it together over 2 years.....Yeh, not the fastest worker here! But I now have a beautiful botanical haven in my back garden. The foundations were brick and concrete block, and the timber was a combination of redwood pine on the roof beams and treated C16 carcasing for the sides. Yeh, Cedar would have been nice but pine was expensive enough. The main cost of the project was the aluminium holding strips for the roof and the ridge piece and decorative cresting. These mean that the roof is more or less maintenance free, so well worth it. The glass is 5mm clear toughened glass that I ordered to the required sizes.
