SYNOPSIS: 'Humans In The Loop' is a feature film about an indigenous woman who is hired to train AI at a remote village in India. Her indigenous ideals of how to treat AI and life clash with that of her tech-focused employer and US clients. Immersed in the work, she discovers an unexpected connection: AI, in its rawest form, is like a child—dependent, vulnerable, and in need of human guidance to learn to "walk, talk, and comprehend the world." She pours her hope into this nascent technology, longing for the AI to eventually "see the world through her eyes," a validation she desperately craves from her own daughter in her personal life. This is a timely, human story that asks: Who gets to define the future of AI, and can a mother’s fight for inclusion change the world's most powerful technology?
