Home to the Almeida, Sadlers Wells and the Little Angel Theatre, it also has some fabulous theatre pubs like the Old Red Lion and The Kings Head. In this London Guide Joolz goes to see La Boheme at the Kings Head in an award winning production featuring Caroline Kennedy. The lovely thing is they did one of the scenes in the actual pub bar area much to the surprise of many of the the ordinary drinkers. The Kings Head started life as The Kings Head Tavern in 1543 where King Henry viii used to stop for a drink on his way to see his mistress. In 1970 Dan Crawford opened the theatre part of the pub making it the first theatre pub since Sheakspeare's times. Joolz Guides definitely recommends coming to see a production here or just pop in to see the roaring fire and sample the sausage rolls, scotch eggs and toasted marshmallows!
