A magnificent city of Kastamonu that has received the title of Slow City, and deserves this title to the fullest; with its forests, its history that needs to be revealed, its meaty bread and of course its people. Even before entering the city, we started to be fascinated when we saw the forests surrounding us on our way to Daday. Green Daday. Even though its population started to decrease, we always encountered cultured people who loved Atatürk, whoever we talked to. You will hear very nice stories about Daday. Daday is the respect of people to each other. This is a truly safe country. A city where smiling people live, a city that is as green as the ones told in fairy tales. In our opinion, one of its most important features is the stories of Atatürk. Anatolian people protect their lands and respect their Ataturk. The people of Daday have engraved in their hearts the words of Atatürk, whom they welcomed with horses, as they were leaving the city, “Let me take another look at this green Daday.” The people of the city still love riding horses and visiting horse farms with their children. While filming this documentary and traveling around the quiet cities, we are most curious about the stories of that city. If we come across stories to be told and recorded, we are very happy. Daday’s stories also fascinated us. There may not be any movie theaters or taverns in the city these days, but there are still some really good conversations. When you go to Daday, which deserves the title of Cittaslow, definitely eat its etli ekmek, definitely taste Baduma and trid, visit the Balaban farm and mansions, shop at the local market and see the Meyre Temple, which unfortunately has not yet been brought to light, perhaps as important as Göbeklitepe.
