GV horses parading up course. SV "Dimwit" No 4 followed by No 5 "Kinloch Brae". LV horses parading up course. SV No 14 "Beggars Way". LV start of race, pan No 10 in lead with 2 others followed by Nos 6 & 13, they jump 1st fence pan to BV. CU pan No 9 with leaders including No 10 they all jump another fence. FV ditto. GV pan ditto with Nos 9 & 10 still with leaders No 6 & 7 followed by Nos 4,3 & 13. LV crowd watching. GV horses over penultimate fence with No 7 "Veuve" in lead - Veuve falls bringing down last year's winner "King's Sprite" No 8 and "Dimwit" No 4 goes into lead. SV pan as "Dimwit" races home to win, passes post. SV zoom back from presentation of trophy to crowds watching. STORYLINE: Fourteen horses took part in the Irish Grand National, the biggest racing event in the Irish racing calendar. "Dimwit" ridden by Matt Curran won the event by 8 lengths, followed by "Beggar's Way" and then "Bahia Dorada".
