We are here to help! __________ To get the most out of your Vicks Filter Free Cool Mist humidifier, follow these helpful instructions. Make sure your humidifier is placed on a firm, level, water resistant surface at least twelve inches from the wall. To fill the water tank, remove the tank from the base. Remove the cap by twisting it into the unlock position. Fill the tank with cool water. Replace the cap and secure by twisting it firmly into lock position. Place the tank back on the base. Make sure your humidifier is turned off before plugging it in. Turn the knob to the highest setting, and let it run until a comfortable humidity level has been reached. Be sure to direct the mist output away from any walls, furniture or bedding. Once a comfortable humidity level has been reached turn the control knob to your desired output level. Your ideal humidity level should be between 40-60%. To use Vicks VapoPads, open the scent pad door, Insert the VapoPad and shut the door for hours of soothing menthol vapors. If you notice a white dust settle around your humidifier, this is caused by mineral build up in your water. Use the Protec Demineralization Cartridge to help reduce white dust.
